Wake Up Mama, Hand Me My Travelling Shoes
UPDATE 23rd April 2019: I’ve been attempting to add a new post on the harmonica blog weekly but while I deal with the move things might be a bit sporadic. I’m still here and still booking lessons though. Hopefully, things will settle down sooner than later. Thanks!
An announcement for those who live somewhat locally and travel to me for harmonica lessons.
Due to circumstances completely beyond our control, and right out of the blue, my wife Lucy and I have had to find a new home. Nothing sinister, the landlord, who we have a good relationship with, asked for his house back because life is dealing him an impossible hand.
It’s completely turned our lives upside down at a time which is very challenging personally for all sorts of boring, real-life, non-harmonica related reasons.
Or, to put it another way, it’s the last thing we need and it’s a complete pig. We didn’t plan it, and we believed we would be at our current home for a long time to come.
However, the good news is that we managed to find a new place very quickly, and the new landlord has accepted our application.
The upshot for you guys is we’ll be moving from Moortown in North Leeds to Stanningley in West Leeds in early May 2019. I realise that might discourage some of you, and for that, I can only apologise. On the flip side, I’m hoping it may mean a shorter journey for some of you too.
If I end up losing any student’s due to the move that’s totally cool. I understand and I wish you all the best. Don’t forget there’s always the Skype session option which is almost as good.
For the rest of you, thanks for bearing with me. Obviously, I’ll discuss it with you all when I see you. My availability will be pretty much exactly the same, but I apologise in advance for the chaotic state the house (both of them) while we prepare for the move and get set up in the new place.
Don’t worry. We’re a bit stressed but after the initial shock and then the relief of finding somewhere we’re actually feeling pretty good about it. Onwards up upwards!
